Okay, what can I say about The Witcher 3 now... a beloved game that I've completed again and again, 3 times so far. Tremendous Side-quests that gave soul to their creation; they weren't just of the "go kill 5 wolves" style, haha. The world of the Continent felt alive, yet simultaneously grimy and real. Instead of treating them as a mere supplement to the main adventure, as many RPGs unfortunately do, the game uses them to build the world, develop characters, and present moral dilemmas without clear right or wrong answers.
The Witcher 3 is not just a game, it's an experience that changes you as a player. After this, the bar for what we consider a 'good quest' was raised so high that it's hard for any other company to reach it. It's the definition of a masterpiece. The same goes for the 2 DLCs, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Personally, I was never a fan of Gwent; it never appealed to me, although there are many who love it. Tastes differ!
