Aric Wilmunder is an American software engineer and game developer best known for his work at Lucasfilm Games (later LucasArts) during the golden age of point-and-click adventure games. He is famously referred to as one of the "SCUMM Lords" due to his pivotal role in co-developing, maintaining, and porting the SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) engine. For the 1990 fantasy adventure game "Loom", Wilmunder served as a programmer, helping to implement its unique music-based gameplay. Over his career, he also contributed to other classic titles like "The Secret of Monkey Island", "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis", and "Maniac Mansion", and later worked for companies such as Maxis and Electronic Arts.
